Background

Bethany Morris, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of psychology and director of the M.A. in community psychology program at Point Park University. She has her Ph.D. from the University of West Georgia, where she specialized in critical psychology and psychoanalysis. Prior to joining Point Park, Morris was an assistant professor of psychology at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Ky., and a special needs assistant for children with behavior problems in Prince Edward Island, Canada.

She currently has one solo authored book, Sexual Difference, Abjection and Liminal Spaces: A Psychoanalytic Approach to the Abhorrence of the Feminine and one co-authored book, Subjectivity in Psychology in the Era of Social Justice. Her interests are situated at the intersection of psychoanalytic theory and social concerns.
